I really enjoyed this book. It was a reasonably quick read and I read it in one night. Though it wasn't exactly 'exciting', it was intriguing and it was a lovely read. I liked both the characters and the writing style. Though The Notebook is a tragic and very emotive story, it is also incredibly heart warming and very effective. There were also some wonderful quotes interweaved into the story.
I can understand why people dislike this book as it is predictable and may feel a little over the top, but forgetting that and just letting yourself enjoy it, The Notebook really is a lovely story.
