I really liked this book. Wanted to give it 4 stars.

Its the story of life. Actually a good handful of lives. It starts with a very brief intro into the lives of various characters. Then a car crash, where 3 people are killed and multiple others injured. It covers the life of not only the persons involved in the accident, but some of their significant others and/or friends, doctors at the hospital that treated the wounded, etc.

The lies and secrets they keep. How the accident forms relationships, friendships, breaks people apart.

At first it can be a bit jumpy. There are quite a bit of characters. But the book at some point gives most characters ample time for you to hear their story.

That's why I gave it three starts instead of four. I felt that some characters, especially those so heavily written about in the front of the book, should have more time in the back of the book. Each of the parts, while still keeping with all characters, devotes itself to a particular set. The first part to a doctor and his wife, the second part to an older couple and the bridegroom/best man couples, the later part to a farmer and an actress. That's why at the end, even though all of the characters lives are "wrapped-up" it just feels like something was missing.
