188000 This is one of my favorite books of all time.
The plot "haunted" me day and night whether or not I was reading it.

570489 Brianna, I read this book so long ago I can't recall much about it except that I did like it. I read it around the time I read Katherine... and it was a tortured romance, which I am a sucker for.

629685 Charissa, Ha! Love youtube!! Thanks for the link, my brother is going to love that.

I hated this book when I read it (or attempted to) the first time. In fact, half way through or so (whenever Catherine dies), I threw the book at my roommate and refused to finish it. She was the one who recommended it to me in the first place - obviously. I have since read it and liked it, boarder line loved it. However, Jane Eyre is pretty well my favorite book of all time, so if you don't like that sort of thing I can't imagine any gap would induce you to like WH.

188000 Susana,

Yes!
I recently watched the movie (not the original)produced in 1992. The story is so gripping,it's hard not to live it for days after viewing. In the case of reading it, I was always in the story, whether reading it or not.
GREAT BOOK
