Hell of a journey, this one. I absolutely adore Mary Calmes's semes (because that's what Sam Kage is). I love the dominance dynamic (not in a BDSM fashion, just a dominating man) between her men.

The story keeps you guessing - you think you know, and then you don't, just like Jory, whose thoughts you follow through the story.

I'd give it 4.5 stars. I'm not sure what it is that doesn't quite rate 5 for me. I know the typos and grammatical and continuity errors in the Kindle versions really irked me (and I so hope they got fixed in the paperback version released by Dreamspinner Press earlier this year). I think it might have been too long and that pieces could have been reduced or removed, or just had the stories re-written some to be a bit more stand-alone, instead of 1 story broken arbitrarily into 4 pieces, which is how it feels. I generally like long stories that take their time in the telling, but this one didn't feel right, so 4.5 stars, rounded down.
