Wow. This Sorrowful Life starts immediately after Volume 5. Rick is recovering from his maiming. Glenn is confined to a cell, forced to listen to the brutality Michonne endures. And Michonne...

Volume 6 of The Walking Dead focuses on the capture of Rick, Glenn, and Michonne, as well as those left behind in the prison. The trio is left wondering when and how they will die. They have revealed no information on the prison, but how long can they endure torture? And what about the rest of the people worried about them back at the prison?

This book is very brutal, very violent, and very cringe-worthy. Part of me was cheering, and part of me was appalled. How can people be so coarse?

This Sorrowful Life adds a few more characters to the group by the end, but things are vastly different than they were just days before.
