it was amazing
bookshelves: read-in-2011, urban-fantasy
Read from March 02 to 03, 2011

This is undoubtedly one of the most consistently best urban fantasy series. This book was a particularly great read. I loved the humor throughout, and Mercy is absolutely loveable in this one. Adam and Mercy's relationship is developing really well. It's somehow adorable without being overly-mushy.

Noticeable in this book is that Mercy is a hero despite not having any extraordinary powers for a supernatural. She's just a mechanic who can turn into a coyote. Her success comes from will and her support system, not an all-powerful blast of power. This book tied in some things from earlier books, but I think it could probably stand alone.

What really pushed this book over for me is that the writing was well-organized. In form, it was great. Good build-up and then an even-betrer climax. I liked that the ending was really another problem and not just "oh, and then happily ever after." No complaints here.
