really liked it
bookshelves: humor, popular-fiction, paranormal
Read from September 14 to 16, 2010

If Stephanie Plum discovered she had a quirky, minor paranormal ability, got adopted by her dead aunt's cat, somehow became foster mom to a monkey, had a gorgeous paranormal investigator guarding her 24/7 while they go on a quest for a stone embodying all the qualities of gluttony... that'd be this book. It's funny, fast-moving, caper-style, just like the Plum series. The characters are great, the plot interesting, the writing fresh and funny. I don't know if I'm pleased or disappointed that it has so many similarities to the Plum books. If it's too much like it, is that bad? And if it were nothing like them, is that good or bad? Guess I don't care. I'll happily read book 2 as soon as it comes out.

Julie Should you be caught up on the Plum Series before starting this one?? I heard that one of the characters in the Plum books is also in this one, so I don't want to end up confused because I am still not caught up on Plum....
