So of course, after stalling out on numerous classic lit titles, the only thing I can actually finish (er, besides the library's entire stash of Eloisa James books--what?? Her dad is Robert Bly!) is a Schmane Schmausten novel. Nice. So, while this was quite a bit more tolerable than the very tedious False Colours, it wasn't good per se. The plot is predictable and lagging, the characters less than developed, and the setting Jane Austen's hated Bath. What less could one ask? I think a 3 star is overdoing it a bit: 2.5.
