The Alchemist's Kitchen Feeds the Poetry Lover In You...

It is not often I come across a poet who writes in an accessible style, but whose poems are not simple, but deep in the complexity of human emotions. Susan Rich is this poet.

In her third collection of poems, Susan explores the world around her with passion and compassion. We explore topics such as art, aging, history, and relationships. Her poetry is precise and full of simple luxuries: dark chocolate, tulips, sweet July cherries. She writes in praise " Today there's nothing but this embrace/of world..." And her poems embrace life, both its struggles and beauty.

This is a masterful collection by a poet who writes for the reader, whose poems overflow with incredible delights.

It is a book that belongs on every bookshelf.
