I fell in love with Jessica Day George the day my mother handed me Dragon Slippers. Well, okay, not that day because I put the book on my headboard and didn't pick it up again for a while. But when I did, lets just say the instant love affair began. Instantly you are transformed into her characters world and wrapped up with all that is happening. The same for Princesses of the Midnight Ball. So when this was coming out, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. Boy, oh boy! Let me tell you it did NOT disappoint. I love romance stories. And I love things that don't really make me think and reread since I babysit 4 kids (2 under 1 yr) along with my own 3. And so most of my reading is done after 11 pm. So I like some good quality reading that takes me away and makes me feel good. And this one did. I loved the struggles, but the face it and deal with it head on of her heroine Poppy. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the underlying knitting theme. When I read Midnight Ball, it was at a time when I was debating taking up knitting and that book made my decision easy to go and buy the stuff to start. That was February 2010 and I haven't stopped since.

I can't wait for more from Ms. George! You can guarantee you'll see me reading it!
