I was rather disappointed in Grange's interpretation of Captain Wentworth's inner thoughts and feelings. In my imagination he was a quiet brooding type of military man with simple thoughts and actions. She painted him as a frivolous gad about town type of lady's man. I guess we all have our fantasies and she's as entitled to her's as much as I'm entitled to mine. They are, however, two separate men! Still, it's interesting how both interpretations easily fit the original text for the original character. Maybe this is part of Austen's genius; character's rich enough in detail for us to fall in love with, but ambiguous enough for us to fill with our own dreams and desires?
