it was amazing
bookshelves: fiction, classics
read count: 2

When I read this in high school I thought of it as a nice little science fiction story, without much point. When I read it again recently, I was surprised to discover that it was so much more than that. It was a poignant story of a man being overwhelmed by his war experiences and breaking with reality. It's not "science fiction" at all, but psychological drama, and very powerful when read that way.
