I think I could categorize this book as "life-changing" for me. I think the reason I am interested in subjects such as classics and anthropology can be traced to this book! It's a very broad look at the history of the universe and the history of science, so even though it is a good 20+ years old, most of it still stands. Sagan writes in an engaging and accessible manner. This is definitely a great book for people who are interested in science, but a little afraid to approach a book about it. Sagan looks at the universe with awe and wonder, and he conveys these feelings to the reader.
