Starting with humble beginnings, Sinuhe is adopted by his two parents and learns the art of being a physician. He eventually becomes the Royal physician to the Pharaohs.

This book spans most of Sinuhe's life and his various travels and adventures throughout the lands of Egypt and surrounding areas. One notable character is Kaptah, who at first is Sinuhe's slave but eventually becomes a trusted friend.

Epic in it's expanse of timeline and cast of characters, this is a most read for any history buff who enjoys the ancient Egypt and most any one who enjoys historical fiction.
