The study train is about a boy trying to find his place in the world. Ethan is a lonely teenage boy when he is offered the chance of his dreams, which is to escape his miserable existence. On this magical train, he is offered love and respect. However, he is also taught how to use powers he never thought possible. Those powers light the dark fire inside him and he soon finds a battle between good and evil waging within his own mind.

This was a fun read. I could easily see it as a children’s or young adult movie. Though there is no definitive end, which normally bugs me even with series fiction, I wasn’t left hanging at a point of irritation. I’m looking forward to the sequel, to see how life plays out for Ethan and The Study Train.
