Scintillating and entertaining, yes, but oh so much more! Explorations of racism? Yep! Discussions on classism? You bet! Secret agenda of defending gay rights? You wouldn't expect it, but it's there! Extended look at feminism in the early 21st Century? You just gotta know that some masters student is earning his or her chops by doing an extended comparison of Sookie Stackhouse and Bella Swan (btw, Sookie totally beats Bella Swan's a#$). This series is really a study of American culture post 9/11 with the tangy taste of True Blood thrown in for good measure.
