Similar to the last one I read (that was number 2 in the series), this one took a little while to hook me. That may indicate that it's me and not the books as I've been reading a LOT of Nevada Barr/Anna Pigeon lately.
The one had fewer red herrings than other Anna Pigeon books I've read.
The resolution of this book pleased me more than any of the ones I've read before. I can't say any more than that without it being a spoiler.
