Loved this book! I was drawn in immediately. The story of June bug and her father, was touching, and moved me to tears, and laughter more than a couple of times. The writing is fantastic! I fell in love with the characters and got emotionally involved, so much so I was tentative about reading the last bit, as I worried about the outcome. Its silly now that I am finished with it, but I could only read a little at a time, for fear it would not turn out the way the characters deserved. (yeah I got a little attached to them) However, I wanted so badly to know how things would get tied up. I don't want to spoil anything for anyone, but I will just say, it was a beautifully written story and was more than pleased with the ending of it. The only thing I didn't 'groove' on was the religious references, and innuendos, they are not my thing. But I am glad I read this novel, and it will stick with me for a long while.

Melanie I thought I recognized the author of this! It's the author of Dogwood-that book that had the crazy twist at the end. Be sure to let me know how this one it. Sounds like it should be good!

Mindy Larson loved it Mel! Check it out for sure, if ya get a chance. Read my review of it as well : )
