it was amazing
bookshelves: ya, steampunkish
Read from September 09 to 11, 2010

I normally reserve 5-star ratings for books that I know I'm going to love forever or that immediately changed my life. I'm not sure if Leviathan falls into either of those categories, but I had to honor the sheer amount of creativity and research that must have gone into it. It's a steampunk alternate history of WWI, from the perspectives of an escaped Austrian prince and a teenage girl posing as a boy in the British air force. The book has something for everyone, and if I had tween kids, I would love to read it to them (do tweens allow themselves to be read to? :\). I honestly think it's an instant classic. Can't wait for the sequel!
