3.5 stars. I found the science to be pretty suspect, especially since it's given without much explanation, but that doesn't make the book any less fun to read. Actually, it probably makes the book much more interesting to read, since I imagine any detailed explanation of why changing X would increase the distance/speed by Y% would probably be pretty boring.
