Read from September 08 to 27, 2010

After a huge tsunami has wiped away all traces of the island village that Mau has called home his whole life, he and the sole survivor of a shipwreck, Daphne, set about learning to communicate with one another and eventually begin to rebuild the "Nation" as other survivors come ashore.
The plot was slow and the characters took some getting used to, but the themes of society and religion will appeal to thinkers.
