When I first looked at Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison, I was very tempted to put it right back on the book shelf were it came from.It was a thick book with small print, a absolute bad move for an incoming 10th grader trying to finish his summer reading done as quickly as possible.Good thing i didnt put it back on the shelf.I was very intregued by the character's jurney from the south, all the way up to 125st Harlem manhattan. I felt like i could connect with the character, because he had been to places I have been to as well. I believe that any student who lives in manhattan will conect very well with the protaganist in the story. You might be thinking that I left out the main characters name. I didnt.
