Vampire High is about a boy named Cody Elliot who does bad in school. His parents decide to transfer him to a different school. His parents tried to get him into Vlad Dracul, a school for students with high grades. Cody gets into this school, and gets good grades just because he joins an extracurricular activity. He finds out that he is in a school for vampires and also finds out why he has been getting good grades (because vampires can’t join sports that involve water, believing that they would turn into some sort of seal-like animal).
This book in some ways is funny and weird. Weird being because he is in a school of vampires and to find out that you’re surrounded by a bunch of vampires would need some getting used to. The book is funny because Cody comes home with a report card, failing all of his classes and is proud of it. He even manages to fail homeroom and gym. The evidence is in the text. Anyone who reads the first few pages of this book will be cracking up.

Sharon Malcolm um... the reason vampires don't like water sports because they believe water makes them melt and die, which it does. it's the shorter, brown haired vamps who discover with Cody's help that the water turns them into selkies instead of killing them, and then they excel at water sports!
