This book wasn't what I expected, at all. I got it from the library because a/it was big and b/it looked fluffy because it was red and had a pair of shoes on it and c/marian keyes is a fun writer. I didn't realise that this book would actually grip me!

It's about Rachel, who is a drug addict but doesn't really do very much drugs and besides, who doesn't snort a line or two at the occasional party? but her parents and roommate and now ex-boyfriend decide she needs rehab and take her to the Cloisters where she expects to find a jacuzzi-filled celebrity rehab centre a la Betty Ford. But instead, she has to face herself and her addiction.

It's written really well and I found that I empathised with all the characters in the book. Marian Keyes really showed the two sides to all the coins and told a very good story with a few humorous notes but in the end, i actually learned a lot about addictions and rehab centres.

31/50
