I loved this book, and am sorry I hadn't read it sooner.

A beautiful autobiography, and written so well. I loved the imagery and descriptions of Iran and its people. I wasn't sure I would like the concurrent information regarding the political history of Iran. But it seems now that it would be necessary - how else to explain the different social climates and unrest?

Definitely recommended.
