Well-written with smooth prose, effective psychological realism, and insight. Unfortunately a stupid character is still a stupid character and I had little to no sympathy with Edna.

Nope, it was just sitting on my shelf. It does fall within the period I'm teaching though, and we're reading another work by Chopin.

TJ Anderson When I first saw the review I thought the title was "Awakenings" and was seriously surprised at your review. If you haven't read Oliver Sacks you need to.
