Cussler weaves together the most complicated adventure. This one starts on an island off lthe coast of Washington State in 1941 and then jumps to the present time. the secret American "fix-it" team aboard the Oregon ship is sent into the Argentine jungle to retrieve a part of a shot down satellite. This leads to another adventure into Antarctica, where contrary to international agreement, they discover Argentine, with Chinese backing, are drilling for oil.
As a reader, my intrigue with these stories is how the author wraps it all together--to be believable.
