it was amazing

A certain frontrunner for the Caldecott, Ballet for Martha tells the story of the collaboration between Martha Graham, Aaron Copland and Isamu Noguchi to create one of their most famous pieces of theater, Appalachian Spring. Brian Floca's illustrations truly make the illustrations come to life. The text is kind of unnecessary in many of the dancing scenes because his drawings fully express what the dancing represents. The stunning cover art of four maidens dancing is one of the best illustrations I've seen this year in a children's book. Awesome!
