Eleven-year old Kimberly Chang and her mother emigrate from China to NYC. Kimberly ends up leading a double life working with her mother in a sweatshop while attending school during the day. They basically live in squalor while trying to achieve a better life in the US. I need someone else to read this so we can discuss the ending.
