I love this:

Proverb

My friend,
when will you understand
that the flamboyant gesture
oft hides the empty hand.

Since it is apparently not obvious from one of the comments below, this is a poem by David from this book.

I am the person who decided to publish this, so I may be rather biassed. But Max Harris, amongst others spoke well of him in reviews, if that makes you happy.

Nick i love that quote! is there a more specific source? sorry if this is a dumb question, just want to know more.

message 2: by David (new)

David There once was a worm of the earth
who'd had a delusion since birth:
He was Wallace o'Gruff
of the clan of Macduff,
With estates and a castle in Perth.

Nick, it is a poem by David from the book. That's why I included it.
