really liked it

After the tumultuous happenings of the previous book, I think it was good that the author decided to step back and have a few months with less high drama and odd mysteries (although there are some). Instead the focus turns to healing, and the bonds of family. There were a couple places were I said 'No, don't go there!' and the narrative went in a much nicer direction. Some manageable power creep happening. I particularly liked the interaction between Sookie and the younger telepath, a comment on how to grow up different but not afraid of that.
