Wow. Harlan Coben leaves his series for this book and breaks new ground which I sure hope he plans on continuing. Dr. David Beck's childhood sweetheart and wife is murdered 8 years ago and while his life has gone on, the hole her death created has only widened. And then the past connects to the present and the story is full of tightly connected twists and turns with a plot so complicated that I'll be thinking about this story for weeks. It's one of the very best things I've read in a long, long time.
