Read from September 02 to 05, 2010

This is a charming illustrated memoir of a year spent "staying put." The author spent twenty years of her life in constant travel all over the globe. When she reached her forties, she decided to find a place to call home-- the Long Island Sound. These are her thoughts on life at home and memories of life abroad. All the artwork has been done by the author, including all the words, which were hand lettered.

The author's word choices and descriptions were absolutely perfect. She brought the small town feel right off the page and into my heart. She made me yearn for a simpler life.
