This is the true story of Percy Fawcett, an important explorer in South America.

Very exciting. I am thinking of sharing it with the book club but there are just so many good books and I only get to chose 1!

Well the time has finally come. I will be re-reading this book with the book club.
It will be even more meaningful now. One of our book club books was Colonel Roosevelt. He and his son Kermit went on an explore on the Amazon and nearly died doing it.

Started reading it again yesterday. Thinking I need to look at some maps of South America

I enjoyed the book even more this time. I am anticipating discussing it with my book club. I hope they all enjoy it.
There is a great website, http://www.davidgrann.com/lost-city-o..., with some of Percy's maps.
I looked at Google Earth to try to understand the river better. The Amazon is a VERY complicated river!
I changed my rating from 4 stars to 5.
