This was the conclusion to the Chesapeake Bay series by Nora Roberts. From the middle to the end, I was intrigued, but the beginning fell flat compared to the others. I had a hard time getting to know and like Sybill, but as I learned more about her, I liked her enough. Phillip had not been a large part of the other books and I was glad to get to see a bigger picture of him. He is the reason I kept reading. Even though I had a hard time getting into the story, I believe that is exactly the way it was meant to be. Sybill was a closed, guarded, and shy person. It took Phillip and Seth to open her up and show her what love was all about. Considering that, I wouldn't have changed a thing.
I am happy with the conclusion to the series, although I am aware that Roberts later wrote a story about Seth as well. I will be getting that when I go to the library next time.
