I was excited when I found 'A War of Gifts' at the EM Library since I had never heard of it before. It's short, barely over 100 pages, and easy to follow. It introduces a new character to the Battle School, Zeck Morgan. Zeck is the son of a minister and is forced to go to Battle School despite his unwillingness to leave his family and fight against God's will. This book talks about a short part of Zeck's stay in Battle School and the events that unfold between him and the others. I thought it was a cute little story, but nothing more than that. It's fun to see other people's versions of events and I always love reading Ender books so this was a good read. If you've read the Ender series and enjoyed them, I would recommend this one simply because it's a fun little story.
