really liked it

Read from September 01 to 17, 2010

Four and a half stars. This was a really interesting multi-layered read. I really enjoyed all the stories and the rich character development. It is a book to be read forward and then backward. My favorite part was the "cat hair" chapter, and how each time in history, Brooks was able to tie it all together. I greatly admire this author's talent, and the incredible amount of research that went into this book. Highly recommended as well as her other books, which are both terrific.

33.0% "on CD 5 which turns out to be only 1/3 of the way through the book; slow reader, but good accents."
50.0% "on CD 7; glad to get past the Venice part"
66.0% "The reader's Sarajevan and Australian accents are good; the Italian and Spanish stink. The Spanish accent sounds like she has a lisp. Can't wait to get out of Spain."
