I'm reading Pride and Prejudice for probably the twentieth time. To me, this book is the ultimate romance, because it is a classic example of a meeting of the minds. It's also a comedy of manners, and I revel in the beautifully crafted English.

It's the little things that stand out for me - I just noticed today for the first time that in the paragraph in which Elizabeth and Maria are leaving Charlotte and Mr. Collins, Lady Catherine invites them back to Hunsford next year. The only problem with that is that Hunsford is the Collinses' home, and Lady Catherine doesn't have the right to issue invitations. She just does it anyway because that's who she is. Heh.
