The first half of this was very slow for me. I enjoyed the second half more even though it was disturbing. It's just hard not to see this story as a story about nonconsensual sex. When a guy is chained up and drugged in a basement, it doesn't matter if he "begs" for it. He's not in his right mind. Viola raped him. She doesn't think she did, and in the end, he doesn't seem to think she did either, but... Yeah. I *really* had to suspend reality to finish the book.

And it's not that I hated it. It was pretty good. It was just slow in parts and disturbing in others. I'm glad they had a happy ending.
