it was amazing
bookshelves: lbgt, true-crime, adult

Republished as Party Monster to coincide with the name of the movie (and a more fitting title anyway), James St James creates a story that vacillates between fantasy and horror. On the face of things, the characters are fun and shallow partiers always looking for a fun time. This flippant world is the one to which James retreats when reality gets to harsh and dangerous. He is intimate in his writing and I was left feeling like he was a close friend. I loved it.
