I liked it a lot. It wasn't quite what I expected. I thought it would be "this can happen to anyone" but instead it was "dude, look how f'd up this kid is from day one."

I listened to it on CD (and can't find that edition here) and strongly recommend reading it instead. The author's "Kevin" voice was like fingernails on a blackboard.

It is refreshing to see a portrait of motherhood that's not sunshine and puppies, although this one seems too extreme to be plausible. The author even addresses that in her interview, that since the book is only written out of Eva's point of view you don't know what is exaggerated and what is legit.
