it was ok
bookshelves: not-finished

Again, I could not get into this one. The first 15 pages were pretty good and then it just got slow and bogged down, and I quit around page 40 or so. I guess I'm not destined to be a Lofts fan after trying several novels by her. I did give her an honest try. :)

Lisa Greer Oh, I DID like that one, actually, Kari. :) Thanks for the recommendation. Since you wrote a nice comment, I wanted to mention that I have a new Gothic novels blog. I am doing a free book giveaway now, so check it out if you are so inclined. :) Thanks!

Lisa Greer I think you are one of the few readers, but the number is growing. I figure a blog couldn't hurt to help bring back the popularity of a great genre. There was one popular one that is no more, and I have only seen one other that doesn't seem to be too active these days.

Lisa Greer Kari, LOL @ your blessing or curse comment. The good thing is that so many of these books can be found secondhand. I am lucky in that I found a really great secondhand store within 30 minutes of me; that is added to a really nice Goodwill here and some other resources.

Lisa Greer That is too funny. I'll add you to my blogroll/resources list, Kari. Let me just go look up your store. :) I would love to own a bookstore, but reading/talking about books and shopping seems the next best thing. LOL.

Lisa Greer I will add you... for some reason blogger was acting up and wouldn't let me do it earlier. Hopefully, it will work later...

Lisa Greer Kari, BTW, I'm from Alabama... born and raised there for 23 years. :) From Brewton... I will have to look up your town. I'm not sure where that is...

Lisa Greer Ha. That's too funny. I married a Yankee. ;) That is a nice area... at least when I've been there.
