I used to love this book so much. I just found it on my sister's shelves. It used to produce silly amounts of glee. I think my favourite thing, flicking through it now, is that the surname of the dragon family is 'Bunsen-Burner'. I didn't understand that when I first read it.

I think the battered state of this copy speaks for how much I loved it.

Gill I love your review of this! Makes me want to read it. I wanted to ask you if you had read Porius by John Cowper Powys? I have been asked whether I have it by a BM friend, but I admit I had never even heard of it! It sound as if it is in your 'genre'. If you have it but don't regard it as a 'keeper' might you reserve it for her on Bookmooch? Paid y poeni - no pressure. Gill

Nikki I've never heard of it either! Hmmmm.

Gill Uh? I looked it up on GR and it does appear - apparently 2007 book. Sounds quite interesting, but possible LARGE!
