This is the third in a trilogy and I have not read the other two. I wish I had read the other two first but it did not take away my pleasure from reading this book.

For just great entertaining reading and page turning fun I just loved this book. It combined murder tales in Ireland and Minnesota. I do not like who-dun-its to be too bloody or graphic and this one hits just the right tone. The combination of fantasy and reality is done very well and makes for a nice balance. I have read and heard about the silkies and find the subject quite interesting. The scenery both in Minnesota and Ireland is beautifully described. The characters are nicely developed.

I like this book a lot because it is light reading, yet well written. It is intelligent but not over my head. It is a real page turner and I look forward to reading more of her books.
