I've read her books before and I was actually pretty excited to read this one. It's about small town life in Elmwood Springs, MO, and all of the characters that live and revolve around it.

Long story short: It doesn't go anywhere. The plot meanders, and there are so many different storylines scattered throughout that it's hard to keep track or stay interested. It's the written equivalent of The Andy Griffith Show mixed with the pointless ennui of a Sofia Coppola film - which is not as nearly as darkly awesome as it sounds. Meh.
