It's been such a long time since I've read such a great book! Being separated from a convenient lifestyle helps people. I was reminded of the camping trips I went on with my family and friends. The scenery and the outdoors made me relaxed. However, what really changed the characters of the book wasn't the different environment, it was each other. Watching Birdie, India, Chess, and Tate reveal the secrets in their lives was a mind opener. Reading about Michael's suicide, Barrett's financial burdens, India's confusion about a student, and other such problems made me wonder a lot. I've never thought so much about relationships. The twist made me happy. I didn't expect Grant to retire or go to Tuckernuck Island. I'm so grateful to my dad who found this book while cleaning airplane seat pockets.

Birdie realized that Hank didn't love her as much as she loved him. She called Grant, her soon to be ex-husband, and the conversation warmed her heart. (Just typing things off my head!)"
