Mary Poplin went to Calcutta in 1996 to investigate why Mother Teresa called her work "religious work" and not "social work." As a volunteer in one of the homes for handicapped children, Poplin delves into the life of the MCs, both spiritually and temporaly, and deepens her own blossoming Christianity.
