A humorous novella wherein the Queen of England gains an unlikely interest in reading. Most people with an interest in books will be able to relate to the Queen, as she goes through the various stages that foster a love for reading and books.

Also brings to light some of the unusual things people think about reading as a hobby, especially through the eyes of the Queen who is, as the title suggests, an "uncommon reader".
