bookshelves: alpha-female, alpha-male, fast-read, 4-star-wonderful-paranormal, series
Read in May, 2009

My only problem when I started this book is I read it out of order. Be aware that it is the second book in a trilogy. The first is AWAKEN ME DARKLY and the third is SAVOR ME SLOWLY.

That said, the good is not always good, the bad is not always bad. This book has it all.

1) An alpha male with a female to match his temperament.
2) Strong characters that keep the storyline pacing quickly.
3) An element of suspense. Granted, I figured out what one of the assassin's did in the past, but I still enjoyed the book.
4) A paranormal book with humor. There are some funny moments.
5) One 'enemy' that a lot of women wouldn't mind spending some quality time with.

If you enjoyed 'Dark Lover' by J. R. Ward, 'Driven' by Eve Kenin or 'Jane's Warlord' by Angela Knight you will enjoy this book.
