I almost feel guilty that I haven't read this before now. I feel like I know all about it. Anyway, good start with the leader pigs and hard-working horse.

This is not "artfully" written. It's heavy-handed and in your face. And I found it fascinating. The pigs just do the same thing over and over even--change a rule for themselves, convince the dumb animals that it's for their good. I found it sad, but often accurate commentary. Stuff like that still goes on worldwide, and in a lesser fashion--minus the violence--the misinformation and changing rules for personal gain reminds me of both major political parties in the US.

The story couldn't sustain itself much longer than it is, but at under 130 pages, this is a quick, easy read and has left me thinking about the characters. Poor Boxer.
